1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using any part of EnglishFlix, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use EnglishFlix. By using the app you confirm that you meet this age requirement. If you are under 18, you confirm you have parental consent.
3. Your Account
- You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure.
- You must provide accurate information when registering.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
- You may not share your account with others or create multiple accounts.
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
4. Use of the App
Permitted Use
EnglishFlix is provided for personal, non-commercial educational use. You may use the app to learn English vocabulary, complete lessons, practise grammar, and play educational games.
Prohibited Use
You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the app's source code.
- Use the app for any unlawful purpose.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems or other users' accounts.
- Upload content that is offensive, harmful, or infringes the rights of others.
- Use automated tools or bots to interact with the app.
5. Content
Our Content
All lessons, game content, vocabulary data, audio, and other materials in EnglishFlix are owned by or licensed to us. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without explicit written permission.
Dictionary Data
Word definitions and examples are sourced from the Free Dictionary API and are used under their respective licences. EnglishFlix does not claim ownership of third-party dictionary data.
6. Learning Progress & XP
XP points, streaks, stars, and other progress metrics are tracked for educational motivation purposes only. They have no monetary value, cannot be transferred, sold, or redeemed for any real-world benefit.
7. Subscriptions & Payments
EnglishFlix offers auto-renewable subscriptions (Monthly and Yearly) that unlock premium features. Subscription pricing is displayed in the app before purchase and may vary by region.
- Payment is charged to your App Store or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase.
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
- You can manage and cancel your subscription in your App Store or Google Play account settings.
- Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
8. Disclaimers
- EnglishFlix is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.
- We do not guarantee that the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or meet all your learning objectives.
- Dictionary definitions and example sentences are sourced from third-party APIs and may occasionally be inaccurate or incomplete.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, EnglishFlix and its creators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including loss of data or learning progress.
10. Termination
You may stop using EnglishFlix and delete your account at any time from Profile → Account Settings → Delete Account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access at our discretion if you violate these Terms.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the app. Continued use of EnglishFlix after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance.
